The leaves are falling down and with reds, yellows, browns, and oranges it’s the perfect time of the year to dig through the bookshelf and find some classic leaf books to read and share as part of your weekly themed book club for toddlers and preschoolers.
This week’s featured book recommendation for the theme of Leaves is Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf by Lois Ehlert. But do check down as we have other book recommendations for your collection.

This sensory bin is brightly-colored, resembling the hues of autumn: burnt oranges, reds and yellows, with a little bit of green still hanging in there.
Time to letter fun with this week's Alphabet Activity.
We love to tie learning with movement, so this activity gets toddlers and preschoolers moving with Fall leaves while learning new words, talking about alphabet letters and sounds, and matching letters.
Here’s a fun way to work on number recognition with your child using leaves. Plus at the end you can even make a number book to recreate the fun anytime they want to.
Get baking and create some Cinnamon Refridgerator Cookies in the shapes of leaves to share during your book club fun this week.
Find some long and thin potatoes and chopped them in half. Carve out the stem and three little veins on each side of it to create your own leaf stamp.
Give your little one some paint and a brush and let them get to it.
